Trident Group Ukraine Joins Easter Relief Effort with Be Light Foundation

Trident Group Ukraine Joins Easter Relief Effort with Be Light Foundation

Two weeks before Easter, Trident Group Ukraine LLC answered the call for help by donating $5,000 to a relief campaign led by the Be Light Foundation. Our CEO Nikos Iltsopoulos and the entire Trident team recognize that this season is a time of compassion and renewal. Be Light Foundation, founded by U.S.-based philanthropist Christina Katrakis, is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has been channeling aid into Ukraine since the war. By partnering with Be Light, Trident Group enables vital Easter packages — food, hygiene supplies and gifts — to reach the hardest-hit communities in eastern Ukraine. These contributions honor our shared Greek-American heritage and Orthodox Christian faith by putting faith into action for families in need.

    Delivering Aid to Displaced Families

During Holy Week, Be Light’s team distributed emergency aid to families of internally displaced people (IDPs) who have lost everything in this brutal war. Many of these families – widows, orphans and parents of large families – were left suddenly homeless and bereft when other programs. Our support helped Be Light buy food and supplies to create Easter baskets filled with necessities. By delivering these gift packages, volunteers brought warmth and hope directly to children and parents who might otherwise go without during this sacred holiday.

In dozens of villages and towns, volunteer teams have carried out door-to-door aid deliveries. Local coordinators like Lyudmila Kovalenko helped distribute supplies in war-torn hamlets, ensuring that “essential supplies and aid” reach “the territories most impacted by the ongoing war and regions with internally displaced refugees” Thanks to Trident’s grant and loyal partners (Nestlé, Pack Away Hunger, Nova Poshta, and others), our network has delivered thousands of food packages and care kits. Every delivery targets the most vulnerable – elderly grandparents, widows and families with many children – so that no one is forgotten. As Christina Katrakis emphasizes, the Be Light Foundation goes to “ground zero” to serve orphans and multi-child families who have lost their homes.

Children are never overlooked. In one outreach, volunteers helped two young evacuees board a van after an aid drop, making sure they could safely travel home with their supplies. The Be Light team insists that every village they reach gets “food and everything they need, so that even during wartime people can celebrate Easter with dignity. Each child who smiles when given an Easter gift reminds us why this work matters. As one motto of our relief network declares, “Together, we are making a difference, one act of support at a time.”

A Shared Heritage and Ongoing Commitment

This mission is rooted in a long tradition of Greek-American service. Trident Group Ukraine and Be Light Foundation are both led by Greek-American Orthodox Christians who feel a duty to help all of humanity. Indeed, across the Greek diaspora many have rallied to Ukraine’s cause (for example, the Hellenic Initiative has provided over $120,000 in aid to Ukrainian refugees). Inspired by this example, we at Trident view our contribution as part of a greater wave of solidarity. We continue to work around the clock, delivering food and aid to thousands of Ukrainians in need. Every donation, every volunteer hour does count – together, we ensure that hope and help reach the people who need it most. In the spirit of Easter and our shared faith, Trident Group Ukraine remains steadfast in its commitment to stand with Ukraine until peace and recovery are achieved.
